Assessment Report Generator

Every LineaScore assessment produces a complete, scored, client-ready report as you work — not afterward. There's no separate write-up step, no Word template to fill in, and no design pass. You finish scoring; the report is already built.

What the Report Actually Contains

The generated report is a multi-page advisory document, not a data dump. It opens with a cover page carrying your logo, the client's name, the assessment date, and a single overall alignment score shown as a percentage ring — the number a practice owner or executive will look at first.

Directly beneath it, a summary banner puts the headline figures in one row: the overall alignment rating, average maturity on a 4.00 scale, how many areas were scored, the count of strengths, and the count of priority areas. From there the report breaks down into:

  • Section scores — Each of the four domains (Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Operations, Governance) with a bar and percentage, so it's obvious at a glance where the environment is strong and where it's exposed
  • Strengths and areas for improvement — Two facing columns: everything rated Strong, and every priority finding sorted worst-first, so the conversation starts with what matters most
  • Detailed findings and recommendations — A per-domain table listing each item, its score, the finding you documented, and the recommendation you gave — the working record behind the summary

The Scoring Model Behind It

Every in-scope item is rated on a four-level scale — S4 Strong, S3 Adequate, S2 Limited, S1 Priority — and those ratings roll up into domain scores and one overall figure. The report translates the aggregate into a plain-language alignment band (from Strong Alignment down to Priority Focus) so a non-technical reader understands the takeaway without needing to interpret raw numbers.

Because items you mark out of scope are excluded from the math, the score reflects the environment you actually assessed. A small client with no on-premise servers isn't penalized for infrastructure that was never in play — the report only reports on what applies.

Your Logo, Your Deliverable

The report is meant to be handed to a client under your name, not LineaScore's. Add a logo URL to the assessment and it appears on the cover in place of the LineaScore mark — the output reads as your firm's advisory report. Export it as a PDF straight from the browser's print dialog (a one-click "Print / Save as PDF" action) and you have a document formatted for professional delivery, ready to attach to an email or drop into a QBR deck.

This is the difference between a tool that produces "software output" and one that produces something you're comfortable putting your name on. The notes and recommendations you captured item by item during the assessment are already in the document — there's nothing to reformat before it goes to the client.

Why Automatic Generation Changes Whether Assessments Happen

The reason most IT advisors don't run formal client assessments isn't a knowledge gap — it's the deliverable. Turning findings into a presentable report typically takes longer than the assessment itself, so assessments get deferred, then skipped. When the report builds itself as you score, that cost drops to zero and the assessment actually gets done.

Run on a quarterly cadence, those reports become a documented advisory track record: proof, in the client's own environment, of what was found and what improved. That record is what turns a break-fix vendor relationship into a strategic one — and it starts with removing the friction between finishing an assessment and having something to show for it.
